No Greater Love Than This

It must have been so beautiful in heaven as the angels gathered around at his feet and his glory how it shined for all to see as all of heaven bowed to worship at his feet.

Then one day God looked through time and he saw me he saw me standing there as the darkness of sin hovered over me. He saw the chains that bound my life he saw me hurting deep inside sin had caused this span between me and him but God had a plan.

So why would he leave all of heaven just to save me why would he give his life on a cruel old cross just to set me free why would he take the nails in his hands and feet stripes on his back so willingly he gave his life without thinking twice to save you and I.

No greater love, no greater love, no greater love than this and with a cross Jesus built a bridge so that I might live the gulf that was between us no longer remains for my sins were nailed to the cross and his blood washed them away. No greater love.

No greater love hath any man than he would lay down his life for his friends.
